Tell us about the unit(s):
- Number of Beds – 29 but can expand to 33 in times of high census
- Number of Staff – 40
- Type of staff:
- Day Shift – (depending on census-typically a charge, 4-5 RNs, 2-3 PCTS)
- Night Shift – same as above
- Patient Ratios – 5-6:1, in times of critical staffing can push to 7:1
- Type of equipment – computer on wheels, pyxis, vitals monitors, GE telemetry monitors, Iphones and I mobile
- EMR
-Cerner
Typical hiring profile
Skill Set Most recruited for: (Travel RNs, local CNAs and sitters)
Must have: candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role.
- BLS
- NIHSS certification
Preferred or nice to have: candidates with these skills will be considered first.
- ACLS
- Familiar with cardiac rhythms

- Very few bedside procedures done on unit. Rarely, thoracentesis
