The Job: If you’re a seasoned engineer who knows their way around a tractor in the middle of harvest pressure, this role values your experience. We’re working with a well‑established agricultural dealership looking to bring in a Senior Agricultural Engineer to strengthen their team across St Cyrus and Turriff. You’ll work with premium machinery, including Fendt, in a modern, well‑equipped environment with strong backing from manufacturer training.

This role suits someone who enjoys being hands‑on, solving problems quickly, and keeping farmers moving when it matters most.

Key responsibilities:
  • Service, maintain and repair a wide range of agricultural machinery
  • Work both in the workshop and out on farm in a fully equipped service van
  • Diagnose faults across mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems
  • Carry out major repairs on engines, transmissions and key components
  • Support and mentor junior engineers where required
  • Use manufacturer systems to log jobs and raise technical cases
  • Complete job cards, reports and service records accurately
  • Attend breakdowns and respond efficiently to minimise downtime
  • Maintain high standards of health, safety and workshop organisation
The Candidate:
  • Strong experience in agricultural, plant, HGV or heavy engineering
  • Confident with diagnostics and complex fault finding
  • Can work independently on farm and take ownership of jobs
  • Comfortable using digital systems and service portals
  • Communicates well with farmers, operators and colleagues
  • Brings a solid work ethic and takes pride in doing the job right
  • Holds a full UK driving licence
  • Willing to put in extra hours during peak seasons when needed
  • Team that understands agriculture doesn’t stop at 5pm
The Package:
  • Strong base salary reflecting senior level experience
  • Overtime paid at 1.5x and weekends at 2x
  • Relocation support available if you’re moving into the area
  • Ongoing manufacturer training (Fendt and more)
  • Modern dealership with proper kit and support behind you
  • Varied role—workshop stability with on‑farm independence
