Job Summary

The Branch Manager in Training (BMIT) position is a performance-based, hands-on, customer-focused role that is responsible for delivering results related to individual and branch sales goals as well as customer expectations. Responsibilities include complying with all federal and state regulations and company policies. This role is expected to meet all branch performance goals and metrics defined by management. It requires attention to detail, excellent customer service skills, and a passion for sales and customer acquisition.

The BMIT will develop, assist, and participate in marketing and collection efforts, both internally and externally.

The BMIT is intended to be a developmental position to be promoted into a Branch Sales Manager position.

Job Responsibilities Cont.
  • Customer Service, Sales, Marketing & Customer Acquisition: Assist in meeting branch performance metrics, use sales tools to provide an exceptional customer experience, and apply sales/marketing techniques to drive new customer growth in storefront and online channels.
  • Maintain day-to-day servicing of an ever-growing consumer loan portfolio. Present financial solutions based on customer needs that meet their goals.
  • Develop new relationships and maintain existing ones while guiding customers through the loan process and life cycle. Educate customers on loan terms and conditions.
  • Build trust with customers and staff by exemplifying company values and purpose. Deploy marketing efforts in the community and track outcomes.
Operations, Compliance, & Collections
  • Assist in managing the P&L to meet budgeted numbers and branch performance expectations.
  • Adhere to policies, procedures, core values, and applicable regulations.
  • Maintain accurate cash controls and security procedures in line with LP standards.
  • Enter customer and transaction information accurately and maintain required documentation.
  • Perform collection activities as approved and document accordingly.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.
Team & Leadership

Work with others in a positive, team-oriented environment to enhance customer experience. The BMIT is responsible for daily branch operations and communication under the supervision of the Branch Sales Manager and Divisional Director of Operations (DDO).

Education
  • Education Required: High School Diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred.
Experience
  • Experience

    Required:

    Sales and/or customer service experience required, or equivalent. One year of experience in sales, retail, banking, or collections preferred.
Knowledge
  • Strong math skills, ability to count cash, professional verbal communication, and the ability to read/write/evaluate and apply detailed information.
  • Ability to work independently, interact professionally, negotiate terms, and ensure policy compliance.
  • Proficiency with computer programs to process customer transactions and maintain records.
  • Ability to stay composed in stressful situations and develop/maintain business relationships.
Physical Requirements
  • Standing for long periods; sitting, walking, bending, squatting, kneeling; lifting up to 20 lbs.; driving and reliable transportation.
  • Exposure to outdoor elements; typing and data entry; use of office equipment; ability to travel to centers within the division.

Travel

Must have a valid driver’s license and access to insured, reliable transportation. Ability to travel within division for marketing, collections, staffing, events, and banking responsibilities.

The Company allows business casual attire; options include polos, blouses, collared shirts, sweaters with slacks or jeans and appropriate shoes.
