The Role
School Psychologists in Ionia County engage in both evaluation and consultative activities to support student success. The selected candidate will provide valuable consultative services to school staff by recommending and assisting in the implementation of research-based interventions. Additionally, they will be responsible for conducting comprehensive evaluations, preparing detailed reports, and assisting in programming recommendations for students who are referred for, or currently placed in, special education programs.
QualificationsDesired
- Master's Degree in School Psychology, or equivalent, with approval by Michigan Department of Education (MDE) as a School Psychologist
- Knowledge of child development, curriculum, and the roles of community agencies is preferred
- Interpersonal skills which promote positive personal relationships with students, parents, staff and community is required
