Position: Storekeeper 7 - Warehouse

Overview

This position is responsible for the receipt, storage, requisitioning and distribution of supplies and materials to the Ionia area correctional facilities, supervises prisoner workers, receives and distributes supplies to the Ionia area Correctional Facilities. Maintains receipt and delivery records.

Experience

Storekeeper 7:
Three years of experience in the storage, handling and distribution of materials, or in the operation of mail handling and sorting machines, and related equipment, including two years equivalent to the Storekeeper E6.

Additional Requirements

This position requires possession of the Commercial Driver's License (CDL) issued by the Secretary of State as required by Public Act 346 of 1988 to operate a designated state vehicle. Ability to attain an Industrial Truck License (Hi-Lo) within one month of hire.

All new employees will complete additional online training to successfully complete their non-custody new employee training.
