Responsibilities
This employee performs a full range of practical nurse assignments. The work requires considerable knowledge of proper methods and procedures for performing assignments as well as basic nursing techniques and methods. The employee works under the supervision of a Registered Nurse at all times.
Education & Qualifications- Possession of a certificate from a practical nursing education program accepted for licensure by the Michigan Board of Nursing.
- No specific type or amount of experience is required.

New hires and returning employees who have been away for more than two years will complete Non-Custody New Employee Training (NCNET): 40 or 80 hours of initial in-person training based on offender contact level and job classification. Additional online training will also be completed.
