Position: Hallmark Field Merchandiser (part-time) Ionia, MI 48846

Job Overview

As a Field Merchandiser, you'll work independently to showcase organization and time‑management skills, establish retailer relationships, and act as the face of Hallmark. You collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement, maintain inventory levels, and support fellow team members with seasonal resets and installations when needed. On occasion you may also work with other products from other companies in the stores you service.

You will perform service work in the Hallmark department of various retail stores such as grocery stores, drug stores, department stores, and mass retailers.

Salary and Schedule Details
  • Your starting hourly pay rate will be $14.00 to $16.00 depending on your skills and experience.
  • We provide paid training, delivered through live, hands‑on instruction as well as virtual classroom training.
  • Hallmark part‑time employees are offered voluntary benefits that include medical, dental, vision, etc.
  • Eligible Employees receive annual pay increases.
  • This is a part‑time position with a variable schedule during the work week.
  • Average weekly hours for this position are between 6 and 12 hours per week.
  • Availability the week before and after major holidays, which may include weekends, is required.
  • Availability to support season changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support.
Your Role and Responsibilities
  • Day‑to‑day engagement:
    Using a mobile device provided by Hallmark, you restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark product inventory inside and outside the Hallmark department. You use technology to communicate with your supervisor, report time, provide feedback, and complete required merchandising surveys. Professional and courteous interaction with store employees, management, and customers is essential. You are responsible for the entire Hallmark product display at your assigned stores.
  • Holiday support:
    Hallmark’s operations revolve around seasonal demand. Leading up to and following holidays such as Valentine's Day, Easter, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas, you may work additional days and extended hours during the work week. Occasionally you may be required to work on the actual holiday itself, which may include weekends.
  • Department resets:
    At times you join a team responsible for installing and performing tasks such as building Hallmark fixtures, relocating card departments and products, and resetting card sections. You are typically notified two weeks in advance of remodel assignments, which may include evenings or weekends.
  • One Team Vision:
    As part of Hallmark’s field organization, you are part of a network of merchandisers who often support other team members as needed in their territories.
Physical Requirements

This is a physically demanding job. You will work on the selling floor and back stockrooms. You must consistently push, pull, lift, and carry cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures up to 30 pounds throughout the day and up to 50 pounds on occasion. You will also be required to kneel, squat, walk, stand, and may climb stairs and step ladders.

Basic Qualifications
  • You are at least 18 years of age.
  • You can read, write, and understand English.
  • You can lift and carry products up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
  • You can operate a digital handheld device to read documents and interpret information.
  • You have access to a Wi‑Fi network and the Internet.
  • You have consistent transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.
