Journeyman Electrician

As a Journeyman Electrician in our innovative Manufacturing department, you'll ensure the smooth and efficient operation of our electrical systems and machinery. This role demands precision, safety, and a deep understanding of both modern and legacy electrical systems to meet and elevate our production capabilities and sustain our movement towards being an even more productive and responsible organization.

Responsibilities

• Assess, repair, and maintain electrical components and machinery within the manufacturing facility.
• Install, calibrate, and configure new electrical systems to optimize the manufacturing process.
• Conduct regular preventive maintenance on motors, controls, and other electrical apparatus to minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with plant management and engineering to troubleshoot issues and engineer solutions that enhance operational efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with all safety and electrical codes and regulations when performing tasks.
• Coordinate and advise on electrical projects, including automation upgrades and power supply enhancements.

Required Skills

• Proficient in electrical system diagnostics and repairs.
• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and blueprints.
• Skilled in the use of electrical repair tools and instruments.
• Knowledge of different electrical systems used in industrial/manufacturing environments.
• Comfortable working with both alternating current (AC) and direct current (DC) systems and multimeter usage.
