The assignment covers two elementary schools and a preschool classroom, serving a caseload of approximately 40 students. Onsite work provides the unique opportunity to build rapport with students and staff, contributing directly to a positive school climate throughout the academic year.

• Deliver school social work services designed to support students academic, social, and emotional well‑being
• Assess student needs and develop individualized support strategies
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to advocate for students
• Participate in multi‑disciplinary teams and assist with developing intervention plans
• Maintain accurate records and comply with all documentation requirements
• Provide crisis intervention and short‑term counseling as needed

• Approval from the Michigan Department of Education as a School Social Worker
• Experience working with elementary‑aged children and/or preschoolers preferred
• Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
• Ability to work effectively within a team environment

This contract position is full‑time at 37.5 hours per week during the academic year, running from late August through mid‑May. Youll have the chance to build strong relationships with students and be a vital member of a dedicated educational team.
