School Social Worker - Ionia, MI

Step into a highly impactful contract role supporting the academic, social, and emotional growth of students as a School Social Worker in a vibrant educational community. Youll work onsite, engaging directly with approximately 40 students across two elementary schools and one preschool classroom. • Current approval from the Michigan Department of Education as a School Social Worker
• A passion for working with young learners in elementary and preschool settings
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills with students, families, and staff
• Familiarity with individualized plans and effective interventions for diverse student needs
• Ability to balance responsibilities across multiple sites and support a range of social/emotional concerns

• Deliver comprehensive school social work services to meet students academic, behavioral, and emotional needs
• Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement intervention plans
• Provide one-on-one and group support sessions to help students manage challenges and achieve personal growth
• Support positive school climates and contribute to prevention and intervention initiatives
• Maintain accurate records, documentation, and compliance with district and state requirements

This full-time, onsite position gives you the chance to play a key role within an engaged school community from late August through mid-May, following the traditional academic calendar.
