Short-Term Contract Bookkeeper - Iowa City

Are you a numbers enthusiast ready to jump into a dynamic team and make a real impact? Our clients company in Iowa City is seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join them on a short-term contract basis. If you love keeping financials organized and accurate, we want to meet you!

What You'll Do:

+ Manage accounts payable and receivable workflows

+ Reconcile bank, credit card, and general ledger accounts

+ Assist in preparing monthly and quarterly financial statements

+ Maintain thorough and accurate records of invoices, receipts, and payments

+ Support audit preparation and year-end closing processes

+ Collaborate with the finance team to ensure timely, accurate reporting

Requirements

What We're Looking For:

+ Professional bookkeeping experience in a business setting

+ Proficiency with accounting software (Quick Books or prior ERPs)

+ Sharp attention to detail and strong organizational skills

+ Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines

+ Excellent communication skills and a proactive, team-first approach
