We are seeking a proactive and detail‑oriented Accountant to join our team in Iowa City, IA. This role oversees the company’s accounting operations, including financial report preparation, accurate record maintenance, robust controls, budgeting systems, and compliance with GAAP. The goal is to minimize risk and ensure the integrity of financial reporting.

Location:

Iowa City, IA 52240. Corporate‑Level, Executive Suite.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage Accounts Receivable processes, including invoicing, applying manual payments, generating aging reports, and reconciling customer accounts.
  • Record routine journal entries and bank transactions accurately and timely.
  • Process accounts payable bills and credit card transactions as needed.
  • Execute month‑end closing activities and perform account reconciliations.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in financial data, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Conduct bank reconciliations regularly.
  • Provide support to team members and collaborate across departments as required.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
  • 1-2 years of accrual‑basis accounting experience including accounts receivable, journal entries, month‑end closing, reconciliation, and bank reconciliation.
  • Regular and reliable attendance.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to interact at all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully plan, organize, and manage projects.
  • Detail‑oriented with excellent proofreading and editing skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment, organized, able to prioritize and work independently.
  • Exceptionally self‑motivated and directed.
