We're looking for experienced Foreman to lead field crews on commercial and industrial construction projects. The ideal candidate has a strong construction background with experience leading crews and coordinating daily field operations.
Experience with
structural steel, steel framing, metal stud framing, or pre-engineered metal building (PEMB) systems is highly preferred.
Current work is based in Cedar Rapids, Iowa
, with a long-term project expected to last 2–5 years before transitioning to projects in other locations.
As a Foreman, you'll be responsible for leading field crews and working closely with the Superintendent to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
- Lead and supervise field crews to meet project schedules and quality standards
- Coordinate daily manpower, materials, equipment, and work assignments
- Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction documents
- Ensure materials are properly staged and available to maintain workflow
- Monitor daily production and communicate progress, delays, and jobsite needs
- Mentor and develop crew members while maintaining accountability and productivity
- Coordinate with subcontractors and other trades to support project schedules
- Conduct toolbox talks and enforce OSHA safety standards
- Inspect completed work to ensure quality and compliance
- Assist with project closeout and punch list completion
- 2+ years of experience as a Foreman, Lead, or Crew Supervisor
- Strong commercial or industrial construction experience
- Experience with structural steel, steel framing, or PEMB construction is highly preferred
- Experience with mission critical projects is highly preferred
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Working knowledge of OSHA safety practices
- Willingness to travel as projects require
- Ability to work overtime as needed to meet project schedules
