- Drive Lean manufacturing principles at the asset level, leading site KPI improvements, cost-reduction studies, and inventory control workflows.
- Execute Six Sigma projects and utilize data analysis to establish robust Standard Operating Conditions (SOCs).
- Determine the most efficient sequence of operations, workflows, and resource utilization across the facility.
- Provide targeted manufacturing and maintenance support, serving as the technical expert for problem definition and resolution.
- Investigate root causes for customer complaints and non-conforming products, establishing permanent corrective actions.
- Supervise the successful commissioning, start-up, and implementation of new or modified equipment upgrades.
- Partner with Technical Services to execute plant trials and seamlessly scale new products and processes.
- Develop engineering economics justifications for equipment upgrades and see projects through to successful implementation.
- Incorporate safety into all daily responsibilities, actively participating in safety engagements and building a proactive safety culture.
- Develop training programs and mentor production teams on new processes to ensure safe, high-quality, and efficient execution.
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in an engineering or STEM-related field AND 4+ years of hands‑on Process Engineering experience within a manufacturing environment.
- In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 8+ years of demonstrated continuous improvement and technical experience in a manufacturing environment will be considered.
- Solid proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Smartsheet, SAP, and Manufacturing Execution Systems (such as DELMIA Apriso).
- Strong knowledge of statistical techniques, including SPC (Statistical Process Control), Design of Experiments (DOE), and quality improvement systems.
- Ability to work on the production floor and wear required personal protective equipment (earplugs, safety glasses, and steel‑toe shoes).
- Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
- Direct experience with extrusion coating, silicone coating, printing, or slitting processes.
