Details
The University of Iowa Department of Surgery is seeking a Temporary Professional Employee to instruct annual Tai Chi for Arthritis and Fall Prevention courses for eight (8) weeks each summer, for a total of approximately 16 hours.
Responsibilities Include:
- Manage online communications and productivity platforms (e.g., Zoom, Teams, etc.). This includes setting up, hosting, and trouble‑shooting online meetings.
- Teach Tai Chi for Arthritis and Fall Prevention (TCAFP) courses
- Maintain TCAFP certification
Schedule: This position is expected to work up to 2 hours each week between July and August of each year.
Required Qualifications:
- Tai Chi for Arthritis and Fall Prevention certification
- Experience setting up, maintaining, and trouble‑shooting online meetings
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Successful candidates will be required to self‑disclose any conviction history and will be subject to a criminal background check and credential/education verification. Up to 5 references will be requested at a later step in the recruitment process.
