Custodian I - 2nd Shift - 80% - Bed Team

Join the University of Iowa Health Care department of Environmental Services as a Custodian for the Bed Team, working weeknights and weekends. This part‑time position is scheduled for the second shift (2:00 pm – 10:30 pm) with a starting salary of $17.31/hour.

• General cleaning
• Trash removal
• Stock supplies for cart and custodial area
• Clean and disinfect restrooms / refill restroom supplies
• Dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, and damp mopping hard surface floors
• Carpet cleaning
• Unit/bed making
• Wall & ceiling washing
• Furniture moves and room setups
• Use various types of custodial equipment in performance of duties
• Other tasks and duties as assigned

Position may have Bloodborne Pathogen Exposure Risk.

Position performed fully on campus.

Salary: $17.31/hour

• Ability to read, write, and follow directions.

• Previous cleaning experience.
• Experience working in a healthcare setting and with the public.
• Experience using cleaning equipment.
