    The University of Iowa Roy J. and Lucille

    A. Carver College of Medicine, Department of Neurosurgery is currently recruiting for an Instructor faculty position. The role of an Instructor will include evaluating neurosurgery patients subspecialized in both epilepsy and spine in the outpatient ambulatory setting, performing operative procedures, managing patients who are admitted to both the emergency room and in-patient services, and conducting neurophysiology research on neurosurgery patients.

    The UI Department of Neurosurgery is made up of more than 16 full-time faculty members who provide national and international leadership across a range of neurological surgery specialties including but not limited to, brain tumor neurosurgery, endovascular neurosurgery, functional neurosurgery, pediatric neurosurgery, spinal surgery, and neurotrauma neurosurgery. The Department of Neurosurgery has a long tradition of excellence in research, a well-developed research infrastructure, and ample patient populations that support efforts in a variety of areas of investigation.
