Position SummaryAssess patients' nursing care needs, evaluate the effectiveness of care provided, integrate nursing theory and research into clinical practice, and provide leadership to nursing team members to maintain patient care standards.
Duties to Include- Apply nursing theory to the assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and evaluation of patient responses to health and illness.
- Assess patient health‑care preferences and expectations.
- Collaboratively coordinate the continuum of care across settings.
- Develop patient care plans based on patient condition, age, and psychological, educational, and socioeconomic factors that prescribe interventions to attain expected outcomes.
- Implement patient care plans according to patient priorities, documenting interventions and patient/family responses.
- Collaborate and integrate contributions of patients and families into multidisciplinary care plans.
- Develop, coordinate, and implement transfer/discharge planning throughout the episode of care.
- Implement nursing interventions according to department, division, and unit policies, procedures, and protocols to maintain a safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff. Follow universal precautions.
60% – 100% (24 – 40 hours/week)
Salary$61,183 minimum at 100% effort, commensurate with experience and percent effort.
ScheduleMonday–Friday, shifts within 7:30 am–5:00 pm, variable start and end times to meet clinic demands. No nights, weekends, holidays, or on‑call duties.

Education- An Associate’s Degree in Nursing, a Diploma in Nursing, a Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing, Professional Master of Nursing and Healthcare Practice (MNHP), MSN/Clinical Nurse Leader, or a Master’s Degree in Nursing (MSN, MA) is required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with patients/families, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary team members.
- General computer skills.
- Current license to practice nursing in Iowa required by date of hire.
- Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing or Master’s Degree in Nursing highly desired.
- Active enrollment in a BSN program if the degree is not yet obtained.
- Minimum of 1 year inpatient nursing experience.
- Ambulatory nursing experience.
- Nursing certification.
