Staff Nurse - IRL Procedure Suite

The Iowa River Landing Clinic is seeking a 100% Staff Nurse in our IRL Procedure Suite. The Staff Nurse is charged with assessing patients’ nursing care needs, evaluating the effectiveness of care provided, integrating nursing theory and research into clinical practices, and ensuring patient care standards are met.

• Apply nursing theory to assess, diagnose, treat and evaluate patient responses.
• Develop patient care plan based on observations and assessments and recommend interventions to attain expected outcomes.
• Collaborate and integrate information from patients and families into multidisciplinary patient care plan and evaluate responses.
• Evaluate the quality of nursing care provided by other staff members.
• Be responsible and accountable for the provision of care for patients.
• Maintain patient rights and confidentiality and serve as a patient advocate.

M-F 07:00 AM to 5:50 PM, with potential Saturdays and late shifts.

• An Associate’s degree, Diploma, Baccalaureate, or Master’s degree in Nursing (MNHP or MSN) is required.
• Current license to practice nursing in Iowa is required by the date of hire.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills necessary.
• Demonstrated interpersonal skills with patients/families, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary team members.
• General computer skills required.
• Must have current ACLS certification or obtain it by the agreed start date.

• Experience working in a procedural setting.
• Experience working with EPIC.
• Baccalaureate or Master’s degree in Nursing highly desired; if not yet obtained, active enrollment in a BSN program desirable.
