University of Iowa Health Care, Department of Anesthesia is seeking a 0.50 FTE Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA).
Role practices a collaborative supervision model with high autonomy across mixed settings, including a Level 1 trauma center, ambulatory surgery center, and pediatric trauma center.
Responsibilities- Perform clinical anesthesia services.
- Attend continuing education conferences and seminars to maintain recertification through NBCRNA.
- Model and promote systems change, professional conduct, and behavior of highest integrity, fostering a collaborative working environment.
- Communicate expectations and provide support aligned with the university vision, fostering creativity and innovation in the workplace.
- Create a culture of continuous learning through strategic planning, shared governance, innovative best practices, and promotion of knowledge development.
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctorate in Nursing Practice (DNP) from an accredited CRNA program.
- National certification as a CRNA by NBCRNA.
- Current Iowa Board of Nursing RN license to practice in Iowa.
- Current Iowa Board of Nursing ARNP license to practice in Iowa.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Contributes to a welcoming and respectful workplace environment.
- New graduates and soon‑to‑be graduates encouraged to apply.
- Prior experience delivering anesthesia services as part of an anesthesia care team.
