Neurology Clinic - Staff Nurse

The Department of Neurology is seeking atemporary,hourly Staff Nurse to work in the fast-paced Neurology Clinic.

• Assessing patients' nursing care needs
• Collaboratively coordinates the continuum of care across settings.
• Develops patient care plan based on patient condition, age, and psychological, educational, and socioeconomic conditions that prescribe interventions to attain expected outcomes.
• Implements patient care plan according to patient priorities, which includes interventions identified through nursing diagnoses.
• Evaluating effectiveness of care provided
• Integrating nursing theory and research into clinical practice
• Providing leadership to members of the nursing team in order to maintain patient care standards

Schedule:

Hours will be worked between 8:00am and 6:00pm, Monday through Friday. No weekends or holidays. Number of hours will be determined between applicant and supervisor upon hire.

One of the following:

• Associate Degree in Nursing,
• Diploma in Nursing,
• Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing (BSN),
• Professional Master of Nursing and Healthcare Practice (MNHP),
• MSN/Clinical Nurse Leader, or
• Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN, MA)

All of the following:

• Current license to practice nursing in Iowa
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Successful candidates will be required to self-disclose any conviction history and will be subject to a criminal background check and credential/education verification. Up to 5 professional references will be requested at a later step in the recruitment process.
