Job Title: Veterinarian – up to $30,000 Sign on Bonus Package
Salary: $100,000 – $120,000 per year

Animal Clinic Inc. is a small animal practice with over 57 years of combined experience, serving Iowa City and surrounding communities. We focus on high-quality, compassionate care with a personal touch and family-oriented values.
Services include comprehensive wellness and preventative care, dental care, digital radiology, ultrasound, in‑house diagnostics, and soft tissue surgery. Additional equipment/services: full in‑house laboratory, surgical laser, therapy laser, acupuncture, and more.
Position SummaryWe are seeking a full‑time Veterinarian (DVM) who values collaboration, strong client relationships, evidence‑based medicine, and who seeks a balanced, long‑term career.
Schedule- 4‑Day schedule Monday–Friday: 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM (day off TBD)
- Rotating Saturdays: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
- Active DVM license in good standing (or ability to obtain)
- 2+ years of clinical experience preferred; open to new graduates for the right candidate
- Strong medical and diagnostic skills; surgical experience a plus
- Excellent communication skills and passion for client education
- Team‑oriented mindset and collaborative approach to care

- Examine and treat companion animals to detect and determine the nature of disease or injuries.
- Operate diagnostic equipment and collect diagnostic samples, interpreting results.
- Advise pet owners on preventative care and treatment options.
- Perform surgery and prescribe medication as needed.
- Provide counsel around pet end‑of‑life care.
- Maintain patients’ medical records.
- Ensure compliance with veterinary ethics and relevant statutes, policies, and procedures.
- DVM/VMD degree from an accredited AVMA institution.
- Appropriate state licensure.
- Eligibility to obtain DEA/BNDD.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Professional and courteous presentation consistently with staff and clients.
- Ability to lift patients and carry equipment up to 25 lb; with assistance for heavier loads.
