Visiting Instructor - Nephrology
The University of Iowa Department of Internal Medicine Division of Nephrology is seeking a full/part-time faculty member with a focus in the research area of WNK kinase to participate in the research missions of UI Health Care. This position is a visiting appointment at the rank of Instructor. This position will have 100% research effort. Duties will include conducting electrophysiological recording of channels regulated by WNKs, metabolic cage studies of genetically mice with altered WNK-OSR1/SPAK cascade and biochemical and biophysical, fluorescent studies in cultured cells expressing WNK-OSR1/SPAk cascades.
Education Required:Candidates must have a PhD degree or equivalent.
Required Qualifications:PhD with strong background in electrophysiology, animal metabolic cages studies, and biochemical and biophysical experiences. Strong publication preferably in high impact journals supporting the above experiences.

DesirableQualifications:
Applicants with evidence of a strong commitment to research and strong publication preferably in high impact journals supporting the above experiences. Experience in submitting independent grant application.
