Physical Security Specialist

Security Specialist – Conducts fraud investigations, performs security assessments to identify vulnerabilities and compliance, monitors bank security equipment, and promotes security protocols and procedures to protect personnel, assets, and facilities.

Location:

Iowa City or Dubuque, IA.

Hours:

30‑32 hours per week.

• Be a point of contact for employees to address security concerns.
• Provide advice to customers involved in frauds and scams.
• Enforce security matters for compliance with protocols and procedures.
• Aid staff in the maintenance of banking equipment.
• Support physical security systems—physical and card access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, identity management, and monitoring systems— and perform monthly or quarterly audits to ensure compliance with set standards and procedures.
• Monitor video surveillance, alarm, and card access systems.
• Evaluate incidents involving damage to property and/or injuries sustained on bank premises, involving customers and employees.
• Collaborate with appropriate teams in identifying, developing, implementing, and maintaining security processes, practices and policies to reduce risks, respond to incidents, and limit exposure and liability in information, financial, physical, personnel and reputational risk areas, whenever possible.
• Act as liaison with local, state and federal law enforcement authorities on security matters.
• Liaison with or member of various committees where safety and security concerns are relevant.
• Train employees to current standards; review and understand training requirements; conduct training sessions; evaluate comprehension of material.
• Uphold bank philosophy and policies by maintaining appropriate controls to ensure full compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

• Associate degree or comparable experience.
• Computer experience required in Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel and Outlook.
