Storage Squad was founded in 2011 in Ithaca, NY, by Cornell students who wanted to make college moving & storage easier. Over the past 10+ years, the business has grown, and in 2020 it became part of the 1-800-PACK-RAT | Zippy Shell Moving & Storage Made Simple family.

Seasonal | Part-Time | Hourly + Performance Bonuses

Storage Squad is looking for a Team Operations Manager to join our team during our busy season. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to build leadership and operations experience, develop valuable business skills, or supplement their income with seasonal work.

This is a hands‑on role where you'll help coordinate people, schedules, vehicles, logistics, and customer services while working alongside your team to keep daily operations running smoothly.

Previous management or logistics experience is helpful, but not required. We're looking for someone who is dependable, organized, comfortable taking initiative, and enjoys working with people.

• Recruit, train, schedule, and support seasonal team members.
• Coordinate daily schedules, routes, vehicle rentals, pickups, and deliveries.
• Help oversee shipping, receiving, inventory, and warehouse organization.
• Communicate with customers, university partners, vendors, and Storage Squad management.
• Address customer questions and concerns with a professional, solution-focused approach.
• Help resolve operational challenges and keep projects on schedule.
• Drive company or rental vehicles when needed.
• Assist with loading, unloading, moving, pickups, and deliveries during busy periods.
• Lead by example and help create a positive, productive team environment.

• Dependable, organized, and responsible.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands‑on environment.
• Able to take initiative and solve problems as they arise.
• Comfortable working as part of a team and taking a leadership role when needed.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, loading, unloading, and moving boxes and belongings.
• Commercial driving, logistics, or management experience is a plus, but not required.
