Overview

This individual will assist the Accounting team with daily accounting tasks and timely account reconciliations. The Accounting Support Specialist will post information to accounting journals/software and will coordinate efforts related to accounting projects and initiatives.

Responsibilities

Specific

Duties Include:

  • Perform daily tasks such as:
    • Complete daily reconciliation and records management
    • Oversee manufacturer rental and warranty settlement process
    • Applying John Deere invoices to the appropriate stock number (Inventory Costing)
    • Dealer/Business Licensing for each of the states in which we operate
    • CUPA/Fertilizer/Material Mills/Hazardous Material reporting
    • Other accounting tasks as assigned
  • Collaborate with all RDO Equipment Co. locations on invoices and payments.
  • Partner with management on any issues related to assigned tasks.
  • Follow all safety rules and regulations while performing work assignments and adhere to all policies and procedures as specified in company manuals and as directed in the employee handbook.
  • Conduct self in the presence of customers and community so as to present a professional image of RDO Equipment Co.
  • Proactively seek and participate in available company-sponsored training, in an effort to develop and advance knowledge base and skill set.
  • Participate in all company/location driven communication efforts, including open book meetings, huddles, department meetings and other related efforts.
  • Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with peers, management, and support resources, with a constant commitment to teamwork and exemplary customer service.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by management in a professional and efficient manner.
Qualifications
  • 1-2 years Bookkeeping experience preferred
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to work well under stress with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work across multiple computer systems/programs.
  • Team player with a strong work ethic and an upbeat attitude.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with internal and external customers.
  • Candidates must have valid work authorization and be able to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship.
