Accounts Receivable Clerk

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our accounting team. This role is responsible for managing customer accounts, ensuring timely collection of payments, and maintaining accurate financial records. The ideal candidate is organized, customer-focused, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Reports to:

Credit Manager

• High school diploma or equivalent required;
  Associate degree in Accounting or related field preferred
• 13 years of accounts receivable or general accounting experience
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft and accounting software
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

• Process customer invoices and apply incoming payments accurately
• Monitor accounts to identify outstanding balances and follow up on overdue accounts
• Communicate with customers regarding billing questions and payment status
• Reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the accounting system
• Prepare monthly sales tax report
• Identify and resolve sales tax errors
• Collaborate with sales and operations teams to resolve account issues
• Perform other duties as assigned
