We are looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist in Adel, IA to join our team. What You'll Do

You will play an important role in supporting day-to-day accounts payable operations and helping ensure vendor transactions are handled accurately and on time.

Accounts Payable Responsibilities

+ Review, verify, and process vendor invoices and expense reports

+ Match purchase orders, invoices, and receipts to ensure accuracy

+ Route matched invoices for approval

+ Prepare and process payments by check, ACH, and other approved methods

+ Maintain vendor records and respond to payment inquiries or discrepancies

+ Reconcile accounts payable transactions and assist with month-end closing activities

+ Process and enter vendor invoices

+ Enter payables into the ERP/manufacturing system

Additional Responsibilities

+ Answer incoming phone calls and direct them to the appropriate person

+ Manage and maintain online customer and vendor accounts

+ Assist with special projects and other assigned duties as needed

Requirements

What We're Looking For

+ High school diploma required; associate degree in accounting or related field preferred

+ 1-3 years of experience in accounts payable, bookkeeping, or a related accounting role

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel

+ Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

+ Effective communication and problem-solving abilities

+ Ability to learn manufacturing software
