As a Senior Accountant, you play a key role on the Finance team, ensuring financial accuracy, integrity, and compliance across multiple areas of the organization. You take a leadership role in maintaining the general ledger, supporting complex reconciliations, and mentoring junior team members. ** Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
* Lead the analysis and reconciliation of general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to GAAP
* Prepare, review, and post complex journal entries, including accruals, amortizations, and adjustments to resolve variances or reclassifications
* Oversee and contribute to the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including preparation and review of account schedules and financial reporting deliverables
* Act as a primary liaison for internal and external audits by compiling required documentation, responding to inquiries, and ensuring readiness of audit files
* Ensure timely and accurate recording of incoming payments, deposits, and account receipts, in accordance with financial policies
* Manage the monthly reconciliation process for all balance sheet accounts, identifying and resolving discrepancies and documenting reconciliation procedures
* Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and compliance within the accounting function
* Support the Finance team in financial analysis, forecasting, and preparation of ad hoc reports as needed
* Mentor junior accountants and provide technical guidance to promote learning and team development
* Ensure compliance with all applicable gaming laws and company internal controls, policies and procedures, Title 31, and federal regulations, if they apply to the position
* Provide outstanding guest service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow team members that meets the company's guest service culture standards
* Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications
* Minimum of 4 years of progressive accounting experience; hospitality or gaming industry experience strongly preferred
* Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Accounting, or a related field required; CPA eligible or active CPA or CMA holder preferred
* Demonstrated expertise in financial reconciliations, journal entry preparation, and month-end closing procedures
* Strong understanding of GAAP and internal control frameworks
* Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail
* Proven ability to prioritize, multitask, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and lead by example
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications; experience with ERP/accounting systems (Workday) preferred Requirements
* At least 21 years of age
* High school diploma
* Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required
* Ability to effectively communicate in English, both written and verbal
* Obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company
* Verify right to work in the United States Work Cards
* Nevada Gaming Registration
