Overview
The Iowa Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Division of State-Operated Specialty Care, Bureau of Woodward Resource Center (WRC) is seeking an Administrative Support Assistant 1 to join the Quality Management team in the Records Room. This is a full-time position with opportunities for advancement, growth, and development.
Responsibilities- Record Management:
Set up supplemental files annually for all individuals, collect records from houses, sort by document type, and file in yearly folders. Complete year-end supplementals and consolidation of records. Complete annual file shifting of all records. Ensure records are available for review as needed and supervise the examination of records by others to comply with WRC policy, HIPAA, and other legal requirements. - Documentation:
Complete WRC Record Room process for admissions, discharges, and deceased individuals. This includes setting up files, making appropriate copies, organizing and filing paperwork, requesting needed information and reports, forwarding required paperwork to appropriate persons, and breaking down files. - Reporting:
Receive and process requests for information for Social Security and Disability, MCOs, County Services, PERM audits for CMS, outside Service Providers, Guardians, and Internal Customers within required time frames. - Team
Collaboration:
Provide backup coverage at the switchboard as needed.
Minimum Qualification Requirements: No specific education or work experience required.
Additional Qualification Requirements: Within a period of time after hire, as determined by the appointing authority, employees in this class may be required to type at least 40 WPM net as demonstrated by the completion of a typing examination.
