Position: RESPONSABLE D'EXPLOITATION H/F
Location: Dorchester

Job Title

Attached to the Plant Director and a member of the Site Management Committee, you will ensure the operational management of a plant with 280 employees, from production to the shipment of finished products. In this role, you will coordinate the key functions of the site in compliance with safety, quality, and performance requirements.

Responsibilities

You will take charge of coordinating the Refining, Production, Scheduling, Logistics, Maintenance, and Continuous Improvement services, with direct hierarchical responsibility over their managers.

In this context, you will:

  • Ensure the smooth operation of production, packaging, and shipping in line with quality, hygiene, safety, and environmental requirements.
  • Manage teams and ensure the overall performance of workshops.
  • Drive industrial indicators and implement associated improvement plans.
  • Contribute to the construction and monitoring of budgets.
  • Actively participate in the deployment of industrial projects and the improvement of processes.
Management and Animation

You will directly manage a team of 6 employees and play a central role in the managerial dynamics of the site.

In this capacity, you will:

  • Organize human and technical resources in an optimal manner.
  • Develop team skills in a sustainable performance logic.
  • Drive performance through shared rituals and indicators.
  • Contribute to the deployment of the CSR approach and the strategic plan.
  • Ensure compliance with standards and exemplarity within teams.
Quality and Safety

You are responsible for the application of the site's quality and safety requirements.

On the quality side:

  • You will ensure the implementation and improvement of procedures.
  • You will ensure compliance with the sanitary control plan.
  • You will contribute to continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, TRS…).

On the safety side:

  • You will ensure risk prevention and team protection.
  • You will promote a culture of shared vigilance and continuous improvement.
  • You will participate in the analysis of incidents and the improvement of working conditions.
Profile Sought

With a higher education degree (engineering school or equivalent – Bac+4/5), you have significant experience of at least 5 years in a similar role, ideally in the food industry.

You have:

  • A solid industrial background (process, maintenance, quality, food safety).
  • An ability to analyze and drive performance.
  • Recognized leadership and the ability to rally teams.
  • A rigorous, structured, and results-oriented approach.

Your ability to take a step back and lead structuring projects will be crucial for success in this role.
