We are looking for a Railcar Repair Supervisor - Valve Department to lead frontline operations, ensure quality and safety standards, and drive daily execution on the shop floor. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced industrial environment and is passionate about leading teams and delivering operational results.

* What You’ll Do:

** This role is responsible for leading repair operations, overseeing hourly employees, and ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant execution of all work activities.
** On any given day, you will:
*** Lead, coach, and develop hourly employees across repair activities
* Drive safe work practices and ensure adherence to all safety standards
* Ensure compliance with OSHA, FRA, AAR, company, and customer requirements
* Monitor daily production, track work in process, and update job status
* Participate in daily production meetings and communicate progress updates
* Partner with Quality and EHS teams to maintain compliance and audit readiness
* Support hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management of employees
* Manage materials and equipment in coordination with Materials leadership
* Identify improvement opportunities and support process enhancements
* Address employee relations matters, including coaching and corrective actions

* What We’re Looking For:

** We’re seeking a strong people leader with operational knowledge and a focus on safety, quality, and execution.
** Requirements:
*** High School Diploma or equivalent required
* 5+ years of experience in railcar repair, manufacturing, or industrial operations
* Prior supervisory or team leadership experience
* Knowledge of FRA regulations and AAR Interchange Rules
* Ability to read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and technical drawings
* Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
** Preferred:
*** Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
* Experience leading in a regulated environment
* Background in continuous improvement or Lean practices
** Work Environment:
*** Significant time spent on the shop floor in an industrial environment
* Exposure to equipment, noise, and varying weather conditions
* Physical activity including walking, climbing, and lifting (up to 50 lbs)
* Required use of PPE and adherence to all safety standards

* Compensation:
Base Salary: $80,000 - $85,000, 10% Production Bonus
