Office Assistant and Activities FacilitatorLocation: Nevada City, California (onsite housing provided)
Position Type: Full-time, seasonal
Pay & Dates: $5,000-7,000 (depending on experience and responsibilities) for May 12th-August 8th 2026 [required dates]
Work available through September if desired.

As an Office Assistant at Camp Augusta, you will be an essential part of the camp’s operation, ensuring that proper coordination between camp, parents, and families is happening. You’ll gain hands‑on experience in office management, coordination, program management, communication, and customer service.
In addition to standard office work, 3-5 hours of your day are typically spent facilitating clinics (we train you), engaging in programs with campers and staff, and running unique experiences. You’ll balance an office day with the daily magic of summer camp!
This position is a great fit for someone seeking experience (or an internship) that blends office administration with a dynamic, outdoor-focused community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Office Coordination: Coordinate with the office team to process daily office operations, including phone calls, emails, and communications with parents, staff, and visitors.
- Customer Service: Be the friendly and professional voice of Camp Augusta - handling inquiries, solving problems, and providing support to families and staff.
- Record Keeping & Organization: Maintain camper and staff records, handle paperwork, and manage camp databases using spreadsheets and other tools.

Activities:
In addition to office duties, you will have the opportunity to teach one or two activities daily, sharing your skills and energy with campers. - Camper Engagement: Engage with campers in our outdoor dining area and play in our immersive evening programs and unique story experiences. - Must be at least 19 years old by June 1st, 2026
- Must be available during our summer dates: from May 12th to August 8th, 2026 (if within a couple days, inquire) - Work available April 1st - Sept 20th
- Ability to commit to 5-8 hours of pre-camp onboarding work a week from when you are hired to when you arrive, and maintain open and prompt communication about that work
