National Grid is hiring a Principal Account Manager for our Massachusetts Outdoor Lighting & Attachments department in to work as a hybrid role at any of our Massachusetts office locations.

Job PurposeLead and support Outdoor Lighting & Attachments initiatives by partnering with internal and external stakeholders to improve program performance, customer experience, and operational efficiency. Through effective communication, collaboration, and problem‑solving, you'll drive enhancements to processes, systems, and policies while ensuring stakeholder needs are met and exceeded wherever possible.
Key Accountabilities- Coordinate Outdoor Lighting and Attachments related activities with Jurisdictions, Operations, Customer Service, Regulatory, Pricing, Distribution Design, Engineering Standards and IS.
- Continuously assess daily tasks with the understanding that system and process issues may arise that require immediate attention and resolution.
- Manage Outdoor Lighting and Attachments performance management reporting.
- Identify, design and implement enhancements to existing policies, processes and systems to improve efficiency and performance related to all aspects of Outdoor Lighting and Attachments initiatives.
- Effectively communicate program, policy and processes while providing daily support to internal and external stakeholder groups. This communication should be two‑way to allow for the constant improvement of all Outdoor Lighting and Attachments initiatives.
- Participate and/or represent Outdoor Lighting and Attachments initiatives.on project teams working on various corporate initiatives to improve efficiency and customer service.
Required:
- A bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 15 years of experience in program, account, project, or operational management.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills.
- Proven analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
- Experience managing competing priorities and driving results in a complex environment.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, databases, and reporting tools.
- A collaborative mindset with the ability to influence across functions.
Preferred:
- Knowledge of CSS, STORMS, GIS, and Smartsheet.
- Experience resolving complex customer issues.
- Take ownership of a critical program that connects customers, communities, and infrastructure across Massachusetts.
- Build relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders, from municipalities and customers to operational and technical teams.
- Lead meaningful improvements that streamline processes, strengthen performance, and enhance customer outcomes.
- Influence how Outdoor Lighting & Attachments services are delivered across the business.

$151,000 - $177,000 a year
