YSS is looking for energetic, caring, and dependable Kids Club Program Assistants! At Gilbert Middle School, you'll help create a safe, engaging, and fun environment for children in grades 3-6 before school, after school, and on no‑school days.

For many families, Kids Club is more than childcare—it's a place where children can learn, explore, build friendships, and feel supported. As a Program Assistant, you'll help create the experiences that make that possible.

• Welcome kids as they arrive and help set the tone for a great day.
• Lead games, activities, and adventures that spark curiosity and creativity.
• Help with homework and cheer on academic wins—big and small.
• Encourage friendships, teamwork, and positive social skills.
• Create moments that help kids feel seen, supported, and successful.
• Keep things running smoothly while balancing fun, safety, and structure.
• Serve snacks, share laughs, and celebrate everyday achievements.
• Partner with families and school staff to support each child's growth.
• Leave each day knowing you've made a difference in a child's life.

You enjoy working with children and creating positive experiences that help them learn, grow, and succeed. You're dependable, patient, and energetic, with the ability to balance fun and structure while building strong relationships with children, families, and coworkers in a safe, supportive environment.

• At least 16 years old.
• Ability to obtain CPR and First Aid certification within three months of hire.
• A genuine enthusiasm for working with children and helping them succeed.

• Love working with kids and helping them learn, grow, and have fun.
• Can be both playful and responsible.
• Have experience babysitting, tutoring, coaching, teaching, mentoring, or caring for children.
• Enjoy encouraging children and celebrating their successes.
• Show up on time, keep your commitments, and can be counted on by your team.
• Bring patience, positivity, and a willingness to jump in wherever needed.
• Believe every child deserves to feel safe, supported, and included.
• Speak a second language and can help us better connect with the families we serve.
