OverviewPro Commercial is seeking a detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager to support project management and field operations on commercial construction projects. This role is ideal for someone with basic plan-reading skills who wants to grow into a higher-responsibility project role within a structured, fast-paced environment. You’ll contribute to document control, preconstruction support, coordination, and scheduling to keep projects moving efficiently.

Key Responsibilities- Project Support
- Assist Project Managers and Coordinators with RFIs, submittals, and document control
- Ensure timely and accurate submittal tracking and quality reviews
- Join PMs on jobsite walks and provide support on installation and progress issues
- Preconstruction Support
- Perform takeoffs using Bluebeam or similar software
- Help with subcontractor bid coverage and proposal development
- Assist in reviewing plans/specs and identifying potential constructability issues
- Field & Operations Coordination
- Support project scheduling and subcontractor mobilization
- Maintain accurate jobsite documentation including photos and reports
- Track procurement and communicate material lead times
- Communication & Documentation
- Maintain project logs (RFIs, submittals, change orders)
- Attend and document project meetings
- Help develop standardized templates and project protocols
- 1+ year of relevant construction or project support experience preferred
- High school diploma or GED required
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to read construction plans; CAD/drafting experience is a plus
- Proactive problem-solver with a positive, teachable attitude
- Proficiency in MS Office; familiarity with Bluebeam or Procore is a bonus
