The Construction Supervisor – Process oversees field construction activities related to mechanical, piping, structural, and process equipment installation for mining and mineral processing facilities. This role ensures the safe, high‑quality, and on‑schedule installation of critical process systems, including crushing, conveying, grinding, heap leach, and ADR plant infrastructure.
Acting as a key field leader, this position coordinates contractors, engineering, and project teams to deliver efficient, compliant, and constructible process plant installations.
Key ResponsibilitiesSafety & Compliance
- Promote and enforce a strong safety culture aligned with MSHA regulations and AGA standards.
- Lead daily safety meetings, toolbox talks, and Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs).
- Monitor contractor compliance with safety plans and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in incident investigations and support corrective action implementation.
- Supervise installation of mechanical, piping, structural, and process systems across plant areas.
- Oversee construction of key process infrastructure including crushing, conveying, grinding, heap leach, and ADR facilities.
- Coordinate work sequencing and ensure alignment with project schedules and priorities.
- Monitor contractor productivity, manpower, and quality of workmanship.
- Ensure construction activities meet approved IFC drawings, specifications, and engineering standards.
- Identify and resolve field conflicts, constructability issues, and technical challenges.
- Ensure adherence to QA/QC requirements, inspection plans, and testing procedures.
- Coordinate inspections, punch‑list development, and completion activities.
- Support turnover documentation and readiness for commissioning.
- Track daily progress against milestones and identify risks to schedule.
- Support monitoring of construction costs, change orders, and field impacts.
- Validate contractor time reporting, equipment use, and progress quantities.
- Prepare accurate daily and weekly field reports.
- Serve as the primary field liaison between engineering, contractors, and project management.
- Participate in coordination meetings, planning sessions, and progress reviews.
- Communicate field issues proactively to minimize delays and support decision‑making.
- Associate degree, technical certification, or equivalent construction/process experience.
- Knowledge of MSHA and Nevada construction regulations.
- Rigging or lifting certification is an asset.
- General understanding of mining operations in rural Nevada.
- 5–10 years of construction experience in mining, mineral processing, or heavy industrial projects.
- Strong experience in process plant construction, particularly mechanical and piping installation.
- Familiarity with gold or base metals processing facilities preferred.
- Ability to interpret civil, structural, mechanical, and piping drawings.
- Knowledge of process plant systems and construction methodologies.
- Experience executing short‑term construction plans and meeting production targets.
- Understanding of field logistics, equipment installation, and construction sequencing.
