Job DescriptionBuilding site installation:
Install, maintain, and position the temporary signs on the building site. Mark out the building site. Building site set-up:
Perform additional staking out for an external works project: platform right of way and altimetry, banks, trenches, etc. Help set up the building site.
Masonry:
Make concrete and mortar mixes and choose the aggregates and doses. Help to lay roadsides, concrete blocks, prefabricated elements. Building site maintenance:
Clean the site equipment. Building site withdrawal:
Stow away building site equipment. Clean up the work area. Building site security:
Wear the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). Observe security instructions. Comply with environmental guidelines.
Opening a trench:
Preparing the trench: clearing brush and cutting surfaces. Consolidating a trench: manual interventions. Closing a trench. Laying of asphalt:
Manually follow the paver implementation. Manually lay the asphalt. Compact the asphalt with a compactor of any size (machine operator) or small cylinder CACES. Bring the road works up to standard (buffer, bc...)
Implementation of coatings and/or ECF (cold cast asphalt):
Spreading aggregates or gravels to realize surface coatings. Perform manual maintenance work on surface coatings. Compact coatings.
Specific activities:
Apply sealant. Lay an asphalt coating. Determine the starting point for the application and anticipate the end of a building site. Determine the "high point, low point" slopes. Determine the thickness to be poured. Check the foundation (support). Manually apply the asphalt using a trowel or lute rake. Make the vehicle entrance gateway with a die cutter. Adjust the profiling if necessary.
Repair cracks and joints. Clean the foundation. Fill in cracks and repair joints with a torch. Cut the asphalt into blocks with the thermal cutter (training) for a clean recovery of the application.

Prepare trenches: clear and cut surfaces. Consolidate trenches manually. Close trenches. Application of sand-gravel mixes:
Follow the adjuster on foot. Compact the sand-gravel mixes with a compacter (machine operator) or a small CACES. A road roller (road labourer). Laying of pipelines:
Adjust the excavation floor, put the networks in place (pvc, cast iron, sandstone). Install dry networks (telecom, electrical).
Job requirements:
No skills training required. Hands-on learning. Optional authorizations as necessary: AIPR (Autorisation d'Intervention à Proximité des Réseaux - authorization to intervene near networks) / Cutting tools.
