End Date   08/10/2026## Overview Salary Range $12.00 - $12.00 Hourly Position Type Part Time Category Gymnastics /Ninja/Dance## Description We are seeking an energetic and passionate Dance Instructor to lead engaging dance classes for youth of all ages and skill levels at our Maquoketa Family YMCA. The ideal candidate will create a positive learning environment, teach proper dance techniques, and inspire students to develop confidence, creativity, and a love of dance.###

Schedule
* Evening and weekend availability preferred.
* Flexible hours based on class schedule.

Responsibilities
* Plan and teach dance classes
* Instruct students in proper dance techniques and choreography.
* Create lesson plans appropriate for various skill levels.
* Ensure a safe, inclusive, and welcoming class environment.
* Prepare students for performances, recitals, or community events as needed.
* Communicate effectively with participants and parents.
* Maintain attendance records and assist with program evaluations.
* Follow all organizational safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications
* Experience teaching dance in one or more styles
* Strong communication and classroom management skills.
* Ability to work with participants of diverse ages and abilities.  Perks of working at the Y!
