Customer Service Representative

Full Time Garner, IA, US

Major Function:

Conduct appropriate transactions by answering customer questions, cross‑selling products and services, and by providing excellent customer service.

  • Process a variety of customer transactions including deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, transfers, safe deposit boxes, cashier's checks, and loan payments.
  • Handle and resolve customer concerns to ensure the highest possible customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure that customers receive excellent customer service by providing accurate information and processing all transactions as efficiently as possible.
  • Scan and balance daily work in a timely manner and by properly following operation policies and procedures; this may involve problem solving for error resolution.
  • Build rapport with customers and promote bank products and services as appropriate.
  • Assist customers with accessing their safe deposit boxes.
  • Process various night drop and mail transactions.
  • Service bank ATM as needed.
  • Work with other employees to promote teamwork and good communication.
  • Promote a positive bank image in the community.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Education & Experience
  • Cash handling experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Basic computer literacy with knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Basic math skills: add, subtract, and divide.
  • Communication skills and problem‑solving ability.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to operate office equipment as necessary to complete essential duties listed above.

Reporting to this position: No direct reports.

Physical Demands & Work Environment
  • Physical demands:
    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit and may be occasionally required to stand for extended periods of time. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The employees will frequently use and talk on the telephone and use a computer and other office equipment. The employee may occasionally be required to travel to other locations as needed.
  • Work environment:
    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently located inside an office building. The employee is also occasionally exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time.
Schedule

Regularly Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m.

- 5:00 p.m., Saturday Rotation 8:00 a.m.

- 11:30 a.m.
