FLEXIBLE HOURS AVAILABLE! (Can be full or part time)

• Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to prevent decay and gum disease.
• Conduct patient assessments by evaluating vital signs, oral health status, and medical history to inform treatment plans.
• Utilize dental terminology accurately to document procedures, findings, and patient instructions within EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dexis, and Open Dental.
• Assist with patient education on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions.
• Support general dentistry procedures by preparing patients and assisting the dentist during examinations and treatments.
• Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality and medical records.
• Collaborate with dental reception staff to schedule appointments, update medical documentation, and ensure smooth clinic operations.
• Keep up-to-date with advancements in pediatric dentistry, endodontics, prosthodontics, and other specialties to provide informed care.

• Valid Dental Hygienist license in accordance with state requirements.
• Proven experience in dental office settings, including familiarity with dental assisting duties and dental clinic workflows.
• Proficiency in EMR systems such as Dexis, Open Dental or similar platforms for managing medical records and documentation.
• Strong knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, and medical coding practices.
• Experience working within pediatric dentistry or general dentistry environments is preferred.
• Ability to accurately measure vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse rate, and temperature.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients about oral health topics.
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and data security at all times.
