The Landscape designer/Estimator handles the functions of the companies Residential & small commercial designing/estimating department, this will include focusing on designing & execution of bids and proposals for existing clients and to schedule all work for landscaping crew. Explain and confirm comprehension of work to landscaping superintendent.
- Job Description: We are currently looking for a highly motivated, career oriented landscape designer with passion in innovative design and its realization in built environment.
A successful candidate is responsible for the documentation, design and coordination of the project as defined by project goals established at the outset of a project. He/she has the ability to provide the bridge between creativity and the technical aspects of design and can demonstrate the ability to successfully implement great design.
The ideal candidate demonstrates:
- Knowledge of appropriate drafting and/or graphic techniques
- Computer proficient including typing and use of CAD programs Word, Excel, and Outlook, Photoshop and/or other graphic rendering software skills.
- Knowledge of native trees & shrubs
- Knowledge of appropriate irrigation installation procedures
- Creativity
- Exceptional time management skills
- Consistency and completeness in the preparation of technical documents
- A high level of organization
- A professional attitude and appearance
- Above-average written and oral communication skills
- Design: Develop landscape plans from preliminary design through conceptual and final design, including construction detail plans
- Client Communications: Present concepts, plans and progress to clients, architects, engineers and other professionals, sign contracts, pick up down payments, etc.
- Field Work: Site analysis, measure, map, photograph
- Prepare additional work proposals and complete jobs after approval within budget of proposal. Use of time management skills to complete and schedule jobs
- Communicate with other members of management team to coordinate projects and request additional labor as needed
- Attend job site meetings and monitor work sites to ensure client satisfaction and work quality.
- Control overtime to maximize production with regard to budget. Relay need of overtime to general manager and authorize overtime if necessary.
- Maintain positive customer relationships to ensure customers are satisfied through effective communication and regular site visits.
- Execute effective client communications including contract reviews, bids for additional work, and enhancement recommendations.
- Attend and participate in company meetings.
- Additional related duties as assigned.
- Punctual and able to work with deadlines.

- Ability to prioritize job duties and multi task in a busy office setting.

- Active Driver's license with proof of clean driving record.
- Additional Requirements:
Ensure complete compliance with all company policies, procedures, and regulations.
16 hours annually of further education related to landscaping or landscaping maintenance
