Design Services Drafter II – 1st Shift
Position Details: A successful candidate will design and develop a broad array of structural and agriculture‑related products to meet customer needs. Requires proficiency in 3D design software (Solid Works preferred). The role involves producing quick and accurate drawings and models, delivering projects on time, and managing complex projects that include researching, designing, and developing methods and materials to increase operational efficiency.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills are essential.
- Participate in project calls and meetings to understand customer needs.
- Use CAD software tools to create building blueprints, including overall layouts and construction details.
- Model new components and products, creating part and assembly drawings for manufacturing.
- Develop practical solutions to unique challenges posed by customer requirements.
- Provide creative and cost‑saving ideas to improve product design.
- Collaborate with manufacturing personnel to improve design details.
- Review existing designs and templates for accuracy.
- Manage multiple projects while remaining highly organized.
- Knowledge and experience with 3‑D modeling software, with Solid Works preferred.
- Associate’s degree or related experience.
- Experience in CAD and product development.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
- High initiative, attention to detail, and strong technical and business acumen.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Solid Works, or other related 3D rendering software.
- Strong MS Office skills and internet/browser competency.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Detail‑oriented and results‑oriented.
- Ability to multi‑task, prioritize, and maintain a professional attitude.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to workflow changes.

- Associate degree or equivalent combination of education, related experience, or training.
- Effective communication skills appropriate for the role.
- Ability to follow instructions.
