The facility operates as a 500-bed hospital system with two campuses located 13 miles apart in Davenport and Silvis. The hospital maintains a trauma level III designation and provides comprehensive orthopedic services with daily OR access, medical imaging, laboratory, and pharmacy services. The facility supports an average daily census of 230-250 patients and utilizes the Cerner EMR system for documentation and patient management.

Iowa offers diverse attractions including the Iowa State Fairgrounds, University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics, and the Field of Dreams movie site. The region features cultural venues such as the National Mississippi River Museum & Aquarium, history museums, and a free art museum, along with the Iowa Events Center which hosts concerts and festivals. Outdoor enthusiasts can enjoy numerous parks with splash pads, hiking trails, campgrounds, and nature and wildlife areas throughout the region.

The orthopedic trauma surgeon will provide 24-hour inpatient coverage for trauma level III cases at both Davenport and Silvis campuses, working 7-10 shifts per month. Responsibilities include managing all orthopedic traumas and same-day surgical add-ons with daily OR access availability. The position requires board certification and involves working within a 500-bed hospital system with an average daily census of 230-250 patients.

The clinician will work collaboratively with 8 physicians across various orthopedic subspecialties and 8 advanced practice providers, with full nursing and APP support available in the operating room.
