We are seeking a skilled and experienced Emergency Medicine Physician to join a dynamic healthcare team near Aredale, Iowa, for a rewarding locum tenens role. Flexible 12-hour shifts (Day: 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM, Night: 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM) Coverage :
Scheduled shifts with optional on-call duties Patient Load : 71 patients per day on average Work Environment :
Acute care hospital with advanced trauma capabilities (Level
3) Position Details:
Work Schedule :
Up to 30 shifts per month Both day and night shifts available Holidays observed:
New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Team Support :
Robust 30-hour advanced practice provider (APP) coverage per shift Patient Demographics :
Infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics Requirements :
Board Certification : BC/BE in Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Family Medicine (ABPS accepted) Licensure :
Iowa license required or IMLC participation Certifications :
Required : ACLS, ATLS, PALS (or APLS), MRT for adult and child abuse cases DEA License :
Required Experience :
Minimum 2 years of experience in emergency medicine Charting and EMR :
Familiarity with Cerner EMR system Additional Information :
Hospital Size : 366 beds Credentialing Timeframe :
