The area is recognized as a destination for minor league sports, offering access to professional-affiliate teams across baseball, hockey, football, and basketball, as well as events such as NASCAR and INDYCAR races at Iowa Speedway and the Drake Relays. Additional attractions include the Pappajohn Sculpture Park, Adventure land theme and water park, Blank Park Zoo, the Science Center of Iowa, and a nationally ranked Downtown Farmers' Market, complemented by diverse dining and shopping options.

The Emergency Medicine Physician will provide locum tenens clinical coverage during day and night shifts, with coverage dates of November 2026 through January 2027. Clinicians will evaluate and manage emergency department presentations across all age groups within a Level III Trauma Center and teaching hospital environment, maintaining accurate clinical documentation using the EPIC EMR system throughout each assigned shift. Peak shift volume occurs during the 11:00 AM - 11:00 PM period, and staffing is structured as 1-2 Physicians covering day hours and 1 Physician covering night hours.

No call responsibilities are associated with this assignment, and board certification is required.
