GENERAL DESCRIPTION
:

Operate and maintain nutrition department ware wash equipment, supplies, and documentation. Prep food and food service line worker as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS
:

• High School diploma/equivalent; some School Nutrition experience preferred; must be at least 18 years of age
• Good health and good attendance record
• Must be able to complete a background check

PHYSICAL/OTHER REQUIREMENTS
:

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Able to operate the food preparation and lunch room areas and related supplies and equipment.
• Able to work successfully with students, parents, teachers, administrators, school staff and the community
• Able to routinely lift and move heavy objects weighing at least 40 pounds and occasionally lift and carry equipment and supplies weighing up to 70 pounds.
• Must be suited for situations that require the ability to plan ahead, yet remain flexible enough to adapt to new situations or react to emergencies
• Must interact well with people, but also be able to work independently

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Operate and maintain Ware wash machinery and supplies.
• Maintain sanitation standards and food safety procedures.
• Understand and follow HCCP Guidelines. Maintain Ware wash temperature records daily.
• Meet Professional expectation of attendance, suitable attire, decorum, participation in School and District meetings when necessary.
• Meet Department of Education Continuing Education hours.
• Fill in as Substitute Cook/Food Service Line Worker as needed.
• Be able to work flexible hours on short notice.
