Iowa Valley Elementary is seeking an Elementary Teacher for the school year. 4th Grade.
The Iowa Valley Community School District is a rural public school district headquartered in Marengo, Iowa. The district spans areas of north-central Iowa County, including the town of Marengo, and the unincorporated area of Koszta, Iowa.

An elementary classroom teacher is responsible for educating young minds, creating lesson plans, assessing student progress, and fostering a positive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and Implement Lesson Plans: Create engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum guidelines and cater to the diverse learning needs of students.
- Assess Student Performance: Evaluate student progress through various assessments and provide feedback to students and parents regarding their academic development.
- Create a Positive Learning Environment: Foster a supportive and stimulating classroom atmosphere that encourages student participation and promotes social and emotional growth.
- Communicate with Parents and Staff: Maintain open lines of communication with parents about student progress and behavior, and collaborate with colleagues to enhance student learning experiences.
- Participate in Professional Development: Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with educational best practices and improve teaching strategies.
- Experience: Previous experience in teaching at the elementary level is preferred but not required.
- Skills: Strong communication, classroom management, and organizational skills are essential. Proficiency in using educational technology is also important.
