The High School Tutor supports students in grades 9–12 by providing academic assistance in core content areas, with an emphasis on math and English. Tutors work individually or in small groups to reinforce classroom instruction, build foundational skills, and promote student confidence, engagement, and academic success.

• Provide tutoring support to students in core subjects.
• Reinforce key concepts, assignments, and skills taught in the classroom.
• Assist students with homework, test preparation, and organization of academic tasks.
• Encourage positive study habits, time management, and goal setting.
• Communicate effectively with supervising staff regarding student progress and needs.
• Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and positive relationships with students and staff.
• Serve as a positive role model and support a safe, respectful learning environment.

• Current high school student (upperclassman) or college student preferred.
• Strong academic skills in core subjects.
• Ability to explain concepts clearly and adapt instruction to individual student needs.
• Reliable, responsible, and motivated to support student learning.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Prior tutoring, mentoring, or instructional support experience.
• Interest in education, teaching, or a related field.

• Flexible, part-time hours during or after the school day.
• Schedule determined based on student needs and availability.

• Hourly rate based on experience and qualifications (minimum $15.00/HR).
