Job DescriptionThe Secondary Math Lead Teacher will provide leadership and support for the successful implementation of the Envisions Math Curriculum at the secondary level. This teacher will serve as a collaborative partner with secondary math staff, the Maquoketa CSD Director of Instruction/Student Services, and AEA consultants to promote high-quality instructional practices and continuous improvement.
Primary Responsibilities:- Support implementation of the district's secondary math curriculum with a focus on instructional consistency and student achievement.
- Collaborate with teachers, district leadership, and AEA staff to gather feedback, identify needs, and support continuous improvement efforts.
- Assist in planning, facilitating, and evaluating professional learning opportunities aligned to curriculum implementation goals.
- Support Professional Learning Community (PLC) processes, including data analysis, instructional planning, and collaborative problem-solving.
- Serve as a resource and coach for teachers as they deepen their understanding and use of curriculum resources and effective instructional strategies.
- Monitor implementation progress and communicate successes, challenges, and recommendations to district leadership.
- Promote a culture of collaboration, reflection, and continuous growth among secondary math staff.
- Current Iowa teaching license.
- Demonstrated effectiveness in mathematics instruction.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
- Prior leadership experience preferred
- Experience with curriculum implementation, data analysis, and PLC processes preferred.
- $1,000 stipend
